John McBride is a Videographer/Editor and creator of sales presentations for nationally syndicated shows, including Ellen DeGeneres, Queen Latifah, Sharon Osbourne, Rosie O’Donnell and more. He’s also a Writer and Director of promos for these shows, and many others such as TMZ, Inside Edition and Peoples Court. And he has created promotion campaigns for some of the largest TV stations and station groups in the country.
Shot on a stage and in practical locations, this pilot program is groundbreaking combination of theatre and television. It was produced economically using DSLR cameras, covering scenes from multiple angles with a very small crew.
Having started out shooting 16mm news film, John advanced to 35mm film production for promos and commercials. But he was early to see the potential in DSLR cameras for content creation far less costly and cumbersome. In recent years, he brought that shooting style to KTLA, an independent channel in Los Angeles. Most recently, John spent four months singlehandedly creating a documentary-style news campaign for the NBC affiliate in Phoenix, AZ.
